Astrology is a very ancient study which was practiced by most of the people all over the world. Amongst all the astrological studies Vedic astrology is considered to be the oldest tradition in the field of astrology. This form of astrology is related to the in-depth study of life in relation to the elements which are considered in perspective with macrocosm and microcosm. This clearly indicates that Vedic astrology was not restricted to the future predictions of a person's life.
It had a vast implication in a broader spectrum which took into consideration the relation between the inner self of a person and the higher self that is the connectivity with the supreme power. The law of nature was also analyzed for studying the astrological effects of nature on human beings. In lighter perspective Vedic astrology is an analysis of the destiny of a human being which is totally connected with the deeds and actions of a person in his day to day life.
The Vedic astrological calculations used mathematical and philosophical tools such as the transit charts, the synastry charts, the natal charts and the solar chart. Each chart was a representative of different domains of life and helped in understanding that particular sector related to life. The design of the chart was totally based on Vedic astrology. The natal chart which is calculated according to the time, date, year and place of birth is specially prepared as the focus on the total life span of the related person.
This natal chart includes all the information about the physical and mental status of a person at every level of his life and also helps in determining the karmic position which means the position in life obtained through the deeds which are related to the group, genetic and the negative actions or karma. The study of all these actions will decide about the reincarnation status of a person in the next life when he will take birth after being relieved by death from the present life. The solar chart was used for depicting the conditions that would affect the life of an individual within a particular year.
The Synastry chart is utilized to study the compatibility between the people having different astrological signs according to the Vedic culture. This chart is mostly used while trying to build up relations in marriage, friendship, business partnership or any other type of relationship that can be formed between two individuals. The transit chart was used for the study of the cosmic effect over the life of an individual. Vedic astrology is based on the writings of a famous sage Parashara which had been written three thousand years ago and is still followed by the astrologers.
