Most likely in the last little while you have had some visitors to your door who are Mormon missionaries. They are very much like the Jehovah Witnesses in going out and spreading the word that they believe in. Most often these will be the young man whose duty it is to go out and recruit new followers. The emphasis of their job is to approach people that aren't familiar with the Mormons and encourage them to read the book of Mormon. They will testify that this is truly the God inspired word.
They will tell you that you will receive it be blessing of the Holy Ghost in the sense that you will know that the word written here is true. That this will be confirmed by getting a burning in your chest which is a warm feeling but this is only after reading and praying about it. This feeling is the confirmation that you have seen the light of the book.
One of the things that must be realized that this type of feeling often comes in other aspects of life as well. It may be something that is touching to you but doesn't necessarily mean that it proves the validity of the book. If you tell the Mormon missionaries that you don't need to pray about the book they will think that you are afraid to learn what's in the book the Mormons stand on. This text is believed to be the inspired of work of God written through Joseph Smith.
