Everyone at some point in their lives has pondered the question of the secret to success. Is there such a thing? Just what must one do to be successful these days?. Why is it that some people effortlessly achieve success and others struggle along never reaching it?
There are lots of guesses as to what the secret may be, but when you get to the nitty gritty, the true secret of success is not about the richness of your investment portfolio, your career, or luck. The secret is all about who you are inside as a person, a parent, a spouse, a friend and a child of God.
God Doesn't Hate You
Whenever things go wrong it's easy to let the words "God hates me" come tripping off your lips. It stands to logic that if something you were attempting to achieve just fell flat on its face, there has to be someone up there, somewhere, pulling the strings to make it happen. Right?
News flash. God doesn't hate you. God wants his people to succeed. He wants them to achieve. Like a parent, God hates to see his children starving in the streets as a result of their foolishness. And like a parent, God has in his mind a plan for your success.
It's up to you to discover what that plan is and, once you have, to choose whether you're going to follow the path that's been chosen for you or continue struggling blindly your own way.
The Only One Standing Between You and Success is You
You may be the very one standing in the way of your own success. Everyone has heard about The Secret. The Secret has been touted far and wide by the powers that be in Hollywood. Yes, The Secret is true. All you say and do, everything you think and every choice you make alters the road of your life in ways that defy the imagination.
In the Bible, God laid down a pre-ordained recipe for success. These are the steps he wanted his people to follow and the prosperity he would bring them if they were willing to walk in faith.
Walking the path of faith is where most people stumble and fall. It is no easy matter to jump off a cliff and know that God will catch you. We are not of the mind to put our future and the future of our family on the line hoping someone will come to our rescue. But God will, and if you are ever going to reach success, that is what you must do.
Luke 17:6 "He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you."
The only real secret of success is faith. If you can even a mustard seed's worth, it's sitting there waiting for you.
