In our politically correct world in our obsessive attempt not to offend we have sacrificed both sincerity and authenticity. Niceness has replaced kindness, staying neutral has replaced originality, and conforming to the taste of the herd has replaced pinache.

Narcissists are driven by an insatiable need to always look good, and to always win. Their belief in their own greatness creates an extreme sense of entitlement, which makes it impossible for them to accept any compromise without losing face. This makes them rigid and inflexible.

It seems that people of today hold onto their belief in conventional linear science with the same degree of conviction that those living in the Dark Ages held onto their religious beliefs.Is it not time we woke up and smelled the coffee?

The way we think, the way we perceive the world, is not innate, but learned. It is an artificial system of logic which reduces the complexity of the world into interminable chains of cause and effect. It is perhaps the greatest barrier we face in attempting to get in touch with our own essence.

While we may believe that we all have our own moral rudder,very often our moral judements are simple imported from the tribe we happen to belong to.

Even though on an objective level we live in a society of great abundance this is not the case. Much of our choice is illusory, as our lives are robbed of real substance and a cornucopia of mediocre second rate options are what we are left to choose from.

With the ascendence of a cult of narcissism, our world is turning into a chaotic hell in which it is every man for himself. This is the last phase in the decline of any civilization before it collapses. Are we going to do something before it is too late?

Those of us who seek to see the world with clarity are confronted with a difficult challenge: join the dance or watch from the sidelines. Maybe there is a third option- one which allows us to engage with the world while staying true to ourselves.
